Answer
10. What is an image group and how is it different from a folder?
Answer
Images in the Digital Library can be saved into image groups, and image groups can be saved into folders.
One way this is used by educators is to organize all of the images for a lecture in one image group, and then save all lectures for one class in the same folder.
Once you save an image group within a folder you can also print the image group as a list of thumbnails, or link to that image group through a stable URL. You can also export an image group of 100 images or less as a PowerPoint 2007 file.
Instructor-level users can create multiple folders, and share access to their folders through the digital library. To learn more about folders and how you can share them, please see our help section on Sharing.
