Overview
- Build and organize a collection of images in the Image Palette.
- Use these images to create presentation slides.
- Then, you may start your slide presentation.
- Navigate your slide presentation using various keyboard shortcuts and/or a shortcut menu.
- Exit your slide presentation.
- Once you have completed your presentation, you may save or share it in a number of ways.

Start slide presentation
- There are several ways to launch the Slide presentation:
- Double-click on the first slide in the Slide Sorter
- Click on the "View Slide Presentation" icon
in the upper left corner of the Sorter pane or in the Slide Editor toolbar
- Right- (or Control-) click in the Slide Sorter or Slide Editor and select the "View Slide Presentation" option
- Go to the "View" toolbar menu and select the "View Slide Presentation" option
- The first slide will appear on your screen, ready for presentation. If you see a message...
- The first time you launch the Slide Presentation, a Quick Guide will appear, displaying the keyboard shortcuts available to you during your presentation. Click once into the slide to hide the Quick Guide. Please note...

Presentation Guide
These are the keyboard shortcuts and shortcut menu options available during the Image presentation. You may also download a PDF guide to the keyboard shortcuts.
Navigate slide presentation
- Start the Slide Presentation, so that your first slide is displayed on the screen.
- To view the next slide, press the "Space bar" or the "Page Down" key on your keyboard. Other options...
- To view the previous slide, press "Shift-Space bar" or the "Page Up" key on your keyboard. Other options...
- You may also elect to introduce individual objects, whether images, text boxes, or shapes, on the slide, rather than advancing the entire slide at a time. Please note...
- To view the next object on a slide, press the Right arrow on your keyboard.
- To view the previous object on a slide, press the Left arrow on your keyboard.
- When you advance to a slide with zoomable images, your mouse pointer will change from an arrow to a magnifying glass

- To zoom into an image, use your mouse to click into the image. Continue to click to zoom into more detail. Other options...
- To zoom out of an image, press the Shift key while clicking into the image. Continue to Shift-click with your mouse to zoom further out of the image. Other options...
- To pan within a zoomed image, click into the image and drag with your mouse to a different location within the image. Other options...
- To view the image at Actual Size, press the "nine" key (9) on your keyboard. This will display the image at a 1:1 ratio. You may continue to zoom into the image past Actual Size, but please note that the image may begin to pixelate as you do so.
- *To reset the image to Fit to Frame, press the "zero" key (0) on your keyboard. This will resize the image so that it will fit, in its entirety, on the display screen.
Quick Tips
- If you have multiple monitors attached to your computer, you may elect the display the Slide Presentation in dual screen mode. For more information, please see: Dual screen presentations.
- If your slides appear small when projected, so that a black border appears around them, you may want to scale them up to match the monitor resolution. You can change this setting in the General tab of the Preferences dialog; for detailed instructions, please see: User Preferences.
Exit slide presentation
- When you reach the end of your presentation, a message with appear in the lower left corner of the screen: "Press ESC to exit presentation.
- To close the Slide Presentation, press the "Esc" key on your keyboard. Other options...
