Add shapes

  1. Click on the "Add a shape" icon image:Icon oiv add shape.gifn the toolbar at the top of the Slide Editor pane. Other options...
  2. A new window will open up (pictured below), displaying a square, a circle, and various directional arrows. Click on the desired shape, and then click the "OK" button to close the window.

Move and resize shapes

  1. Click on a shape once to select it, so that a dashed outline appears around the placeholder.
  2. Click on the "Move" tool image:Icon oiv move.gifin the toolbar at the top of the Slide Editor.
  3. Go back to the selected shape, then drag and drop it into a new location on the slide.
  4. To re-size the shape click on any one of the 8 square handles that appear on the corners and sides of the dashed outline.
  5. Drag the side or corner of the outline until the shape has reached the desired size.

Format shapes

  1. Click on a shape once to select it, so that a dashed outline appears around the place holder.
  2. Click on the "Properties" icon image:Icon oiv properties.gifin the toolbar at the top of the Slide Editor. Other options...
  3. A new window will open, displaying options for adding color and fill effects to the selected shape.
    • To add a color to the outline of your circle/square or the path of your arrow...

    • To add a fill effect to a circle or square...
  4. After making your selections, click on the "Apply" button to save the changes.
  5. If need to remove a formatting effect that you have applied to a shape, repeat steps #1-3. After clicking on the drop-down arrow for "Color," click on the “None" link above the color palette. To reset the opacity level, repeat steps #1-3, then slide the arrow to the right of the "Opacity" field to the desired level. To remove a fill effect, uncheck the box next to "Filled."

Delete shapes

  1. Click on a text box once to select it, so that a dashed outline appears around the place holder. To select multuple shapes...
